Sora Presets Compared (Default, Aggressive)
Sora comes with two presets (.set files). All of them run the same strategy — trend-following on gold (XAUUSD), entering on M5, SL/TP on every trade. The only difference is the risk per trade, which changes how much your account swings.
Not sure? Start with Default.set.
Download Default.set · Aggressive.set (any version).
What's different in each file
A preset file only holds the settings below; everything else uses Sora's built-in defaults.
| Input | What it does | Default.set | Aggressive.set |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strategy settings (timeframes, trend filters) | The settings behind the backtests | Same | Same |
RiskPercent |
Risk per trade (% of balance) | 1.0 | 2.0 |
Fixed_Lot |
Fixed lot size (0 = use RiskPercent) | 0 | 0 |
Enable_AutoLimit |
Cap on open trades | Off | Off |
Enable_DrawdownCut |
Emergency cut at a set drawdown | Off | Off |
- Aggressive.set is Default.set at twice the risk, so every win and every loss is twice as big.

Before you choose
- Past results are not a forecast. Live results depend on your broker, spreads and the market.
- Drawdowns are what you'll actually live through. Over 23 years, Aggressive.set took equity down by 76% at its worst. Make sure you could hold on through that.
- You can change RiskPercent after loading. Higher risk means deeper drawdowns. See Reading Backtest Numbers.
